At Locol, we believe the success of our projects goes far beyond the aesthetic of the artwork selected. Our team takes the time to understand the community surrounding each project we work on, identifying unique artists in the area and uncovering relevant history pertinent to each project. Our art packages are created to elevate the design of a space, not only through the visual impact they have, but through their connection to the end user.
Research
At locol, we take time to understand a project and the community it is built in. This begins by fully understanding the design narrative of each project and thoroughly familiarizing ourselves with the project. Our team dives into the culture, art and history of the project and the community it encompasses. Each project is different, and Locol has found the small details make the largest difference when making sure each art package has a unique and intimate relationship with its project.
Design
Most art consultants start their work here, but at Locol we have already taken the time to research and develop a story that uniquely speaks to each project. With this research outlined, our team follows by building an art package that takes into consideration all of the unique details and finishes that have been carefully selected for the project. By engaging local art talent and building an art program that responds directly to our research, Locol's art programs will always feel unique and custom tailored to each project.
Manage
A project can be well researched and beautifully designed, but if not properly managed, the outcome can be underwhelming. Locol is very familiar with the build and management side of a project. With a strict process, our team makes sure our artists are kept to deadlines, construction coordination is seamlessly maintained, and problems are uncovered before they happen through site walks & studio tours. From our submittals to our walks, Locol makes sure details are never over looked.
